What sets qcol apart?

 Other providers are using older cable TV and telephone facilities and older technologies which are pushed to their capacity limits. State of the art fiber optics 'all the way' to your premise allows QCOL services to be consistently fast. 

You will hear other ISPs claim that they have the fastest internet. When compared to QCOL, that is simply not true. Independent tests have compared QCOL with dozens of other internet providers and the results show by far that QCOL service is fastest. Do you like kettle corn?

Pay close attention when other ISPs advertise their internet speeds. They will talk about super fast download speeds but rarely mention their upload speeds. That is because their upload speeds are only a fraction of their download speeds. Monitoring security cameras remotely and uploading videos require more upload speeds and our upload and download speeds are the same.

Our competitors claim they use fiber too. However, they bring fiber to the neighborhood which is shared among you and all of your neighbors. You may see higher speeds at certain hours of the day or when the neighbors are are away. Your QCOL fiber connection is not impacted by your neighbor's use.

QCOL has built a solid and highly redundant and reliable core network. We connect to multiple upstream providers and constantly work to deliver your traffic via the shortest path to it's destination.  

Some ISPs will begin slowing your internet down after you use a certain amount of data. QCOL does not throttle your internet speeds.

Some people have to track their monthly internet usage because the bill goes up if you hit a certain limit. QCOl offers unlimited data with no caps. 

Our competitors often brag that they offer a lower price than QCOL. They then add undisclosed fees, increase rates and charge for modems and other devices they may require. QCOL discloses our prices up-front.

Many companies require you to subscribe to multiple services to get the one you want. Why pay for a land line if you don't need it? Why pay for cable TV if you only view streaming content? QCOL allows you to only purchase the services you need.

QCOL believes strongly in supporting local businesses. We employ local staff and patronize our neighborhood businesses. Customer Service and Tech Support is provided promptly and from local technicians. 

A modem is a device that MODulates and DEModulates data signals and converts them into a format suitable for transmission. Cable modems and DSL modems are often used to convert the data. This is an additional device within the data path and the conversion process takes time. QCOL does not use or need to convert your data for transmission over our fiber optic lines.

QCOL installed our first FTTH network in 2004 and have been working to fine tune and improve it ever since. There were very few companies doing FTTH when we started and our experience allows us to deliver a solid and quality product to our customers. There are very few people in the FTTH industry that have veen doing this as long as we have.

Copper and coax lines used by other providers are affected by moisture and temperature swings. Satellite dishes are impacted by clouds and ice buildup. Fiber optic service operates perfectly under all these conditions.

Receiving multiple bills, making separate payments and having different due dates with multiple service providers is time-consuming. QCOL sends one bill for all services. Bills are sent around the 15th of each month. Payment is due by the 1st. Don't worry though, we have a grace period and won't consider payment late until the 11th of the month.

QCOL staff is not routinely scheduled to work at our offices on evenings, weekends and holidays. We think promoting time with families is important. That doesn't mean we do not work evenings, weekends or holidays. On-call techs monitor our network, email and voicemail regularly and respond promptly based upon the severity of issues. We might call you back from a family picnic or our kid's birthday party. You might hear our dog or baby in the background but we will typically respond sooner than some providers answer their phones.
